AREAS OF MINISTRY
Worship Team
This group works to make our worship experience meaningful - from the music to the visual decorations - from ushers to communion stewards.
Education
Our children's Christian education time in on Wednesdays after school, and is called UM Kids Club. Our youth groups meet on Wednesday evening at 6:45 pm. (see our Children's link on this web site ~ and the Youth link on this web site!)

Missions
This group focuses on reminding the church about what it means to be in mission - that all are called to look beyond ourselves and to help those in our community, state, nation, and world. The UMC is such a mission-oriented church, and we are given many opportunities to share and to become aware of many whom we can help. (see our Missions link on this web site!)

Care Team
This group provides support and nurture to folks who are going through a difficult time - death, illness, or other struggle. This may mean a visit, a card, or a meal or other assistance.

Prayer Chain
This ministry receives and passes on telephone calls of prayer concerns.

Hospitality and Receptions
This ministry helps organize food & fellowship times after worship, funeral receptions, the annual Fall Dinner, and other hospitality needs as they arise.

Administrative Council
This group is comprised of chairpersons from all committees/teams, plus members at large. They meet every other month to share what's going on in the ministry and mission of our local church, and to take care of any decisions that need to be made on behalf of the church.

Trustees
This group looks after the physical plant of the church building and grounds, and the parsonage. Whether it's maintenance, new improvements, replacing windows or landscaping, they have general oversight of this aspect of our church's ministry.

Finance
This group keeps a close eye on the financial matters of the church and its ministries. Jesus says, "where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." (Matt. 6.21) They engage in a variety of financial matters from planning the church's annual budget to reminding the congregation of the joy and spiritual discipline of regular, intentional giving. They also oversee a foundation account.

Staff-Parish Relations Committee (SPRC)
This is the Personnel Committee for the parish.

Memorial
This group collects and spends money given to the church in memory of people who have died. Many beautiful gifts have contributed to the ongoing ministry of our church as a result of memorial gifts.
