Dear Cousin Penny,

You will never believe what I heard the other day. The teachers for Kids Club were together already planning for this fall!! Didn’t the summer just begin? But I heard them say the first Wednesday in September would be here before they knew it ~ and that’s when Kids Club will begin with a carnival on the parsonage lawn.    That’s already giving me something to look forward too!!

And Penny, the next thing we know we will be hearing about youth group, and Bible studies, and the Roast Beef Dinner. The summer is just going too fast!!

I did hear the gal say that the outdoor worship, for the Choteau folks, will be held on the parsonage lawn on Sunday, August 15. That is always such a neat time together. I’m inviting all my friends. After worship there is always such good food. I heard the gal say she was going to talk about wind. Well, we certainly know about wind in this country, but she said it had something to do with the Spirit of God. Now I’m curious!!

Love your cousin,
Chloe

Dear Chloe,

You’ll never believe what I did!!!! At the last minute I decided to ride in the gal’s pocket when she and the guy went on his retirement trip. I wonder what the people on the cruise ship on the Mediterranean Sea would think if they knew they had a mouse on board. I’m very careful not to show myself.

Chloe, did you know that duomo means house of God and that all towns have duomos? That means that our churches can be called duomos.   This Sunday, instead of being in Montana in church, I was in the fourth largest cathedral in the world in Florence, Italy.  You’ll never believe what the gal did. She climbed the campanile ~ bell tower ~ all the way to the top.  That was 414 steps. I’m sure glad it was her and not me. I just rode along in her pocket!! But the view of the dome of the duomo from the top took my breath away!!

I’m sure you have been listening to the folks who are leading worship while the gal and guy are on their trip. We are so fortunate to have so many good speakers in our congregations that share their faith stories with us. I also hear that on August 8th someone from Bozeman who is the Yellowstone Annual Conference missions coordinator is going to be leading worship. I even heard she was once a missionary in Africa. You will have to tell me all about it when I get home.

Love you cousin,
Penny
